Q: How does the crochet and half wig work together?

The crochet handles your hairline and part area — that’s what makes the install look undetectable. The half wig covers the rest. Because the textures match, there’s no visible line where the crochet ends and the wig begins. It just blends.

Q: Will people be able to tell it’s two separate pieces?

No. The crochet and half wig are the same texture and length, so the blend is seamless. Most people can’t even tell the front is crochet. That’s the whole point — it looks like your hair is growing from your scalp.

Q: Is this a wig or crochet?

It’s both. The front uses real human hair crochet (crocheted into your flat twists for an invisible hairline), and the back is a half wig that clips in. Together, they give you the best of both worlds — the natural-looking hairline of crochet with the fullness and ease of a wig.

Q: How long does it take to install?

About 30 minutes or less. You’re only crocheting the front section (around 15–20 pieces), then clipping the half wig onto the back. That’s it. No 3-hour salon appointments.

Q: Can a beginner do this?

Absolutely. If you can flat twist your hair and hold a crochet needle, you can do this. The Duo was
designed for women who have never crocheted before. We also include a free crochet needle with every order and have tutorial content to walk you through every step.

Q: What braid pattern do I need?

Two flat twists in the front — that’s the whole braid pattern. For a side part, the twists go in an L
shape. For a middle part, they go straight back with the part in the middle. No complicated cornrows required.

Q: Do I need leave-out?

No. Zero leave-out required. The crochet creates a natural-looking hairline on its own, so your
natural hair stays completely tucked away and protected. No blending, no flat ironing your edges, no heat damage.

Q: Do I need lace or glue?

No lace and no glue — ever. The crochet hooks directly into your flat twists, and the half wig clips in with the combs that are already inside it. This is a completely glueless, laceless install.

Q: What tools do I need to install the Duo?

Just a crochet needle (which we include FREE with every order), a rat-tail comb for parting, and clips to section your hair. That’s it. No lace glue, no got2b gel, no blow dryer.

Q: Can I do a side part AND a middle part?

Yes! The part you get depends on how you position your two flat twists. You can switch it up with
every install.

Q: Is this real human hair?

Yes. All of our crochet hair and half wigs are made from 100% premium human hair. This is not synthetic blended with human hair. It’s the real deal — you can wash it, style it, and reuse it.

Q: What textures do you carry?

We carry textures designed to match a range of natural hair types: Indian Curly (best for 3C–4A curl patterns, defined and bouncy), Light Yaki (mimics blown-out or relaxed hair, sleek and polished), and Exotic Kinky Curly & Tight Exotic Kinky Curly (designed for 4B–4C coily textures). Every texture is available in both the crochet and matching half wig so the blend is seamless.

Q: How do I know which texture matches my hair?

If you have coily/4C hair, go with our Exotic Kinky Curly or Tight Exotic Kinky Curly. If you have curly 3C–4A hair, Indian Curly is your match. Q: Will the hair tangle?

Our human hair is premium quality and tangle-resistant when maintained properly. Wear a satin bonnet or scarf at night, wash with a gentle sulfate-free shampoo as needed, and use a lightweight leave-in conditioner. Unlike cheap crochet hair that tangles after one wash, our hair is built to last with proper care.

Q: Can I wash, curl, or straighten the hair?

Yes to all three. It’s 100% human hair, so you can wash it, heat-style it, and even color it (strand test first). We recommend using a heat protectant when styling with heat to keep the hair in great condition for as long as possible.

Q: Why is the Duo more affordable than a salon visit?

A single salon install can cost $150–$300 and take 3–4+ hours. The Duo is a one-time purchase starting at $149.99 that you install yourself in 30 minutes — and you can reuse the hair multiple times. Over time, it saves you hundreds of dollars.

Q: How long can I wear the Duo?

The crochet in the front can stay in for 2–4 weeks depending on your hair and maintenance routine. The half wig can be removed daily if you prefer, or left clipped in. Listen to your scalp — when it’s time for a refresh, take it down, care for your natural hair, and reinstall.

Q: Can I reuse the hair?

Yes. Because it’s real human hair, both the crochet and the half wig can be reused multiple times with proper care. Wash gently, condition, let it air dry, and it’s ready for your next install.

Q: How do I maintain the install?

Wear a satin bonnet or scarf every night. Moisturize your scalp a few times a week with a lightweight oil. If the crochet needs refreshing, spritz with water and a leave-in conditioner. For curly textures, scrunch to redefine curls. Avoid heavy products that cause buildup.

Q: How do I take it down?

The half wig unclips in seconds. For the crochet, feel for the knot at the base of each piece and gently slide it off the twist. No cutting required. Your flat twists come out easily after, and your natural hair is right there — healthy and protected.

Q: Will this damage my natural hair?

No. The Duo is designed to protect your natural hair. There’s no leave-out (so no heat or blending damage), no glue, no lace, and no tension on your hairline. Your natural hair stays flat-twisted and tucked away the entire time. Many protective styles actually cause more stress than the Duo because they require leave-out or tight braiding patterns.

Q: Can I sleep in it?

Yes. Just wrap your hair with a satin bonnet or scarf before bed. The crochet is secured into your twists and the half wig is clipped in, so everything stays in place overnight.

Q: Can I work out or swim in it?

You can work out in it — just wrap your edges and tie down with a scarf if needed, then fluff when you’re done. For swimming, we recommend wearing a swim cap to protect the hair. Rinse with fresh water after swimming and let it air dry.

Q: How long does shipping take?

We ship via USPS. All in-stock orders ship within 48 hours. Delivery time depends on your location, but most domestic orders arrive within 3–7 business days after shipping.

No, we currently ship within the United States only.

Q: What is your return/refund policy?

Because our hair is made-to-order in a factory, all sales are final once purchased. Please make sure you select the correct texture before checking out. If your order arrives damaged, you have 72 hours from the date of delivery to submit a refund request. Your package must be unopened and untampered with. Depending on the circumstances, we may offer a full refund — however, the buyer is responsible for their own return shipping label if they wish to exchange the product.

Q: Is this only for natural hair?

No. The Duo works on natural hair, relaxed hair, transitioning hair, and loc’d hair (as long as you can create a flat base for the crochet to hook into). The key is having a flat foundation — two flat twists in the front — and you’re good to go.

Q: I’m terrible at doing hair. Is this really for me?

This was literally made for you. The founder created the Duo because she needed something fast and easy that didn’t require any skill. If you can flat twist (even messily — the crochet covers it) and push a needle through a twist, you can do this. The Duo is designed to be foolproof.
